The Descent from the Cross.

This intricate carving on mother of pearl is approximately the size of a dinner plate.  Displayed in Salarjung Museum in Hyderabad, India.  The museum houses perhaps the largest one man’s collection of priceless art and artifacts in a large building.  The Nizam (ruler) of Hyderabad was, at that time, the richest man in the world.

Every town has a small fascinating landmark. I have been always fascinated by this tiny chapel that quietly sits unnoticed by most who walk by the busy street. I have taken pictures of this chapel before but it looked even prettier in the foggy night.
