The Descent from the Cross.

This intricate carving on mother of pearl is approximately the size of a dinner plate.  Displayed in Salarjung Museum in Hyderabad, India.  The museum houses perhaps the largest one man’s collection of priceless art and artifacts in a large building.  The Nizam (ruler) of Hyderabad was, at that time, the richest man in the world.

Rice Paddy Fishing.

Young people in the northern state of India-Uttar Pradesh- fishing in rice paddies using homemade bamboo fishing rods.  This year’s monsoon filled rice fields with plenty of water for a good crop as well as a bonus of fish.
